Stars back for Melbourne in vital BBL game
Melbourne Stars will bowl first in tonight's BBL match against Adelaide Strikers, with several key players coming back.
At the bottom of the table competition, there are wholesale changes to the Stars' line-up, with several of their players being released from COVID quarantine including star spinner and fill-in captain Adam Zampa.
Other additions include Beau Webster, Joe Clarke and Nathan Coulter-Nile, while Marcus Stoinis remains out despite the quarantine clearing.
They will also miss captain Glenn Maxwell, who suffered a five-wicket loss to the Melbourne Renegades on 3 January after the Stars' last match.
Meanwhile, the striker is dealing with COVID problems of his own, with batsman Matt Renshaw missing after a positive test.
They regain Ryan Gibson who hasn't played since the first game of the season in Adelaide, where he suffered a hamstring.
The Strikers are seventh in the BBL table, with only tonight's opponents below them.
