FA Cup fourth round draw: Premier League giants avoid each other
The top Premier League teams avoided each other in an FA Cup fourth-round draw on Sunday, while Leicester City will play Nottingham Forest, who stunned Arsenal on Sunday.
An Arsenal-Leicester clash would have seen the last two winners of the historic competition face off for a place in the next round. Leicester claimed a 1-0 win over Chelsea to lift the trophy last May, while Arsenal also beat Chelsea in the final the year before.
Arsenal wore a white kit in their clash with Forest on Sunday as part of a "No More Red" campaign to spread awareness about the high levels of knife crime among youth in London.
Elsewhere, Manchester United will face Championship side Middlesbrough if Ralph Rangnik's side can find a way to overtake Aston Villa in their third-round clash on Monday.
Chelsea will try to avoid a Cup mess when they face League One side Plymouth Town, while Liverpool, who have not won the FA Cup since 2006, are set to play Cardiff City.
The lowest-ranked team in the competition, the non-league Kidderminster Harriers, will host Premier League side West Ham United, while Cambridge United, who beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Saturday, face Luton Town.
Tottenham Hotspur hit late to avoid a surprise upset against Morecambe Town and were rewarded with a draw against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The fourth round of the FA Cup is to be played between February 4-7.
