Leicester City, FA Cup holders. This is the tag he wears when starting his 2022 campaign in competition.

It starts against a familiar face in Claudio Ranieri as he brings his Watford side back to King Power Stadium after more than a month since a six-goal thriller in the ice.

But it could be a very different City team on the pitch today, with potentially 17 first-team outfield players unable to play due to international commitments, injury or illness.

The team will feature young players and so is likely to debut at King Power Stadium, which is City's first game of 2022 after a New Year's Day fixture with Norwich.
