Barcelona coach Xavi left frustrated by Granada draw
Barcelona boss Xavi was "angry and upset" after his team equalized late in Granada on Saturday.
Blagrana were on the verge of a crucial victory that would have seen them leapfrog to third place in the LaLiga table, only to have Antonio Puertas scored in the 89th minute to cancel out Luc de Jong's opener.
Speaking after the game, Xavi was disappointed to drop two points as well as play the final 10 minutes after Gavi was dismissed for the second yellow card.
"We cannot leave happy. We are angry and upset," he told reporters. "We also lack experience, that's clear.
"I'm not talking about the referee, I'm talking about the result of the takedown. We're with one low, we have to go back [to be defensive] and it costs us because we're not used to it." Huh.
"Experience and craft are gained from matches. [Gavi] is a player who gives us a lot."
Xavi insisted that his team would have to look after themselves after the draw, adding: "We lost a lot of silly balls. We have to be self-critical.
“You have to do more things: rise higher, create opportunities. If we want to grow we have to do more things and grow from now on.
"[The result] is not [Granada's] merit, it's our fault."
De Jong's header just before the hour was his second in two LaLiga games, winning last week at Real Mallorca, and Xavi suggested the Dutchman might still have a role, despite strong rumors that he was on the verge of being But his loan from Sevilla was cut to reduce the wage bill.
"I have already told you that he is also a part of the team like everyone else," he said. "If offers come in and we have to meet the salary range, that's the position. But Luk is a professional and he's helped us a lot. I'm happy for him."
