5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2559: ดีแทค ปรับกลยุทธ์ไฟแนนซ์เชี่ยลเซอร์วิส หรือบริการธุรกรรมด้านการเงิน หลังจากประกาศเดินหน้าเป็นบริษัทชั้นนำที่มุ่งเป็นผู้บริการด้านดิจิทัลอย่างเต็มตัว (Digital Service Provider) โดยปรับเปลี่ยนการให้บริการเคาน์เตอร์และตัวแทนแจ๋ว (Over The Counter) ไปสู่การให้บริการบนออนไลน์เพย์เม้นท์อย่างเต็มตัว ภายใต้บริการเพย์เมนท์เกตเวย์และ Jeaw wallet พร้อมเดินหน้าพัฒนาบริการใหม่สร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มทางการตลาดบนออนไลน์อย่างต่อเนื่อง

นายลาร์ส นอร์ลิ่ง ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท โทเทิ่ล แอ็คเซ็ส คอมมูนิเคชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “บริการธุรกรรมทางด้านการเงิน (Financial Service) เป็นหนึ่งในกลยุทธ์หลักที่ดีแทคมีแนวทางชัดเจนในการสร้างให้เป็นบริการที่จะเพิ่มมูลค่าให้กับอุตสาหกรรมโทรคมนาคม ที่จะส่งผลให้ระบบเศรษฐกิจในภาพรวมของประเทศเติบโตและขยายตัวได้รวดเร็วมากขึ้น ดังรายงานล่าสุดที่ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทยพูดถึงเรื่อง Payment Systems Insight (ในช่วงไตรมาสที่ 1ของปี 2558) พบว่า การชำระเงินผ่านโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ (Mobile Payment)ยังคงเป็นช่องทางที่มีอัตราเติบโตเพิ่มขึ้นสูงสุด โดยมีอัตราเติบโตสูงถึงร้อยละ 129.8 เมื่อเทียบกับไตรมาสเดียวกันปีก่อน ในขณะที่ช่องทางการชำระเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (E-Payment)อื่น ๆ มีอัตราเติบโตขึ้นเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่านั้น นั่นจึงทำให้ ดีแทค เชื่อมั่นว่าการทำธุรกรรมทางการเงินในตลาดโมบาย ทั้ง E-Commerce และ M Commerce ในปีนี้และอนาคตจะมีการเติบโตเพิ่มขึ้นแบบก้าวกระโดด และเทรนด์พฤติกรรมการใช้บริการจะเปลี่ยนไปลูกค้าจะหันมาใช้กระเป๋าเงินสดอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ หรือ E-Wallet แทนการใช้เงินสดมากขึ้นอย่างแน่นอน 

ด้วยเหตุนี้ ดีแทค จึงได้ปรับกลยุทธ์ในการให้บริการธุรกรรมทางการเงิน โดยจะมุ่งเน้นในการให้บริการบนออนไลน์แพลตฟอร์มอย่างเต็มตัว โดยแบ่งบริการออกเป็น 2 กลุ่มใหญ่ๆ ตามพฤติกรรมการใช้งานของลูกค้า คือเพย์สบาย (Paysbuy)ซึ่งเป็นเพย์เมนท์เกตเวย์ (Payment Gateways) ที่จะเป็นตัวเชื่อมต่อให้เกิดการใช้งานที่มีประสิทธิภาพด้วยระบบที่มีมาตรฐานสากล ให้แก่กลุ่มร้านค้าออนไลน์ และกระเป๋าเงินสดอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ หรือ (E-Wallet) ในรูปแบบแอพพลิเคชั่นภายใต้ชื่อ Jaew Wallet ที่จะสามารถตอบโจทย์การใช้งานทางการเงินบนมือถือได้ไร้ข้อจำกัด ส่วนบริการเคาน์เตอร์และตัวแทนแจ๋ว (Over The Counter) ที่มีอยู่กว่า 7,500 จุดบริการ จะปรับเปลี่ยนให้สามารถสนับสนุนธุรกรรมการเงินทางออนไลน์ได้โดยให้อยู่ในภายใต้ชื่อบริการ Happy Online ที่ไม่เพียงจะทำหน้าที่ให้บริการเติมเงินมือถือ (Mobile Top-up) เท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นส่วนสำคัญที่จะช่วยทำให้ลูกค้าเข้าถึงและใช้บริการเติมเงินเข้ากระเป๋าเงินสดอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ หรือ (E-Wallet) ได้อย่างสะดวกสบาย และง่ายขึ้นด้วย ซึ่ง ดีแทคตั้งเป้าขยายตัวแทนเติมเงิน E Wallet กว่า 100,000 จุดทั่วประเทศ”

ทั้งนี้ สำหรับบริการธุรกรรมทางการเงินผ่านเคาน์เตอร์และตัวแทนแจ๋ว (Over The Counter)  ยังจะเปิดให้บริการในส่วนรับโอนจ่ายเงินและรับชำระสินค้าและบริการต่างๆได้จนถึงวันที่ 31 มีนาคมนี้
