Bobby McGregor was long-time physio/trainer for both Glentoran and Northern Ireland. This match marked his retirement as Glens manager (a post he held from 1974-1977). He continued as physio/trainer for club and country until October 1981 when he collapsed and died during a European Cup match between Glentoran and CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria.
